Turning off the main road between Terontola and Cortona, in the tiny hamlet of Riccio, is a hillside olive grove surrounding an 8th-century Roman building with a watchtower overlooking the Via Romana. One of its outbuildings has been nicely restored as a simple guest cottage suitable for 2-3 people. Available year-round, with a surcharge for central heating when necessary.

The cottage consists of a small living room and an eat-in fully-equipped kitchen, plus a master bedroom, anteroom with single bed, and full bathroom. A large whitewashed cantina on the lower level is used only for laundry.
A garden courtyard overlooks the Roman Road just below, and affords a lovely view of Lake Trasimeno beyond the olive groves. Walking trails ascend through the property between cypress and almond trees to an ancient hilltop chapel.
The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and full bathroom, and the anteroom has a single bed.
