Fortify yourself at one of the many cafes and restaurants that stretch along the beach promenade at Javea, and then either head for the sea and sand, or explore the old town with its narrow streets, and the harbour with its every changing scene of pleasure and working craft.

Javea's 25km of coastline has many EU Blue Flag beaches and stunning coves tucked around the rugged coast. The World Health Authority has provided the Costa Blanca with an official classification of 'environmentally near perfect'.

The beaches are ideal for children of all ages... with sand, rocks and shores that are perfect for paddling and swimming.

The 8x4m kidney shaped pool has steps for children to enter the shallow end and takes pride of place on the private south facing terrace.
You are sure to spend much of your time around the pool, because it's a sun trap that is perfect for outside living, with its loungers, chairs and an stylish old-fashioned wheeled barbecue.

Should you wish to escape from the sun or simply have a change of scenery, the glazed and high-roofed Naya provides idyllic views whilst eating or entertaining.

The living area is large and comfortable, with a ceiling fan, fireplace and satellite TV (BBC card).

The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and opens onto an outside utility area. A washing machine is located in the garage.

The Area

The old town of Javea is quaint and traditional with local shops, small cafes and a weekly market on Thursdays. The church in the heart of the old town has been dated back to 1244 and the narrow streets are lined with whitewashed houses, many of which were built in the 16th century. The port has a larger choice of restaurants, bars and shops to serve tourists who come to watch the quay-side activities as they stroll along the promenade.

Neighbouring Denia is a typically historic Spanish town that has become a modern and cosmopolitan resort. Its castle overlooks the town, which is enclosed by protective walls. Its long sandy beach stretches for miles and its busy port is used the ferries that ply between the Balearic Islands.

The beaches

• La Grava near Javea port is shingly and near many restaurants and bars.
  
  
• El Arenal is large, sandy and lively. Its restaurants, cafes and various outlets along the promenade cater for adults and children of all tastes. There is much to do and has nearby shops, boutiques and a supermarket.
  
  
• Cala Blanca can only be reached on foot but has parking nearby. This small beach is surrounded by white cliffs and has wonderful rock pools for slightly older children to explore when the tide goes out.
  
  
• La Barraca O Portitxol is a large pebble cove with shallow water that makes it ideal for snorkeling. There is a selection of restaurants behind the beach. There are beautiful walks nearby, but you are advised not to tackle these in flip-flops!

Airports

The winter rate is negotiable and dependent on the length of stay, cleaning requirements and the desired arrangement for the payment utility bills. Please note that bookings are already being taken for the Summer season of 2005.

25% of the total amount will be payable on confirmation of booking. The balance is required at least 4 weeks before arrival and a refundable deposit for breakage will also be required at this time.

The price includes the services of a maid twice a week and laundry. Looking forward to hearing from you.
