This 3 bedroomed south facing villa has a mountain back-drop and catches the sun on its private pool terrace, hence its name Oro Rayo, or 'Golden Rays'. The surrounding area has much to offer, including pretty beach promenades that come alive with street markets at night.

This villa is available to rent. 2008: Available from 29th March until 17th May. 24th May -31st May. 5th July-12th July. 26th July - 2nd August. 16th August - 31st August. 4th October - 22nd November. The villa is conveniently situated on the valley side of the Montgo mountain range, half way between Javea old town and Jesus Probre on the Costa Blanca. The nearest beach is just 6km away. With a 10 month summer season and perfect conditions for golfers that extend throughout the winter, the Costa Blanca is a perfect holiday destination at any time of the year.

Fortify yourself at one of the many cafes and restaurants that stretch along the beach promenade at Javea, and then either head for the sea and sand, or explore the old town with its narrow streets, and the harbour with its every changing scene of pleasure and working craft.

Javea's 25km of coastline has many EU Blue Flag beaches and stunning coves tucked around the rugged coast. The World Health Authority has provided the Costa Blanca with an official classification of 'environmentally near perfect'.

The beaches are ideal for children of all ages... with sand, rocks and shores that are perfect for paddling and swimming.

THE VILLA FOR RENTAL

Set in large gravelled grounds that have an abundance of orange and lemon trees, conifers and flowering shrubs.

The 8x4m kidney shaped pool has steps for children to enter the shallow end and takes pride of place on the private south facing terrace.
You are sure to spend much of your time around the pool, because it's a sun trap that is perfect for outside living, with its loungers, chairs and an stylish old-fashioned wheeled barbecue.

Should you wish to escape from the sun or simply have a change of scenery, the glazed and high-roofed Naya provides idyllic views whilst eating or entertaining.

The living area is large and comfortable, with a ceiling fan, fireplace and satellite TV (BBC card).

The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and opens onto an outside utility area. A washing machine is located in the garage.

Car hire is considered by the owner to be essential for this property, and there is garaging for one vehicle.

The main bathroom has a toilet, bidet, bath and hand basin.

The Area

A supermarket is less than 200 meters away and a large number of attractions are just a short drive.

The old town of Javea is quaint and traditional with local shops, small cafes and a weekly market on Thursdays. The church in the heart of the old town has been dated back to 1244 and the narrow streets are lined with whitewashed houses, many of which were built in the 16th century. The port has a larger choice of restaurants, bars and shops to serve tourists who come to watch the quay-side activities as they stroll along the promenade.

Neighbouring Denia is a typically historic Spanish town that has become a modern and cosmopolitan resort. Its castle overlooks the town, which is enclosed by protective walls. Its long sandy beach stretches for miles and its busy port is used the ferries that ply between the Balearic Islands.

Other attractions in the area include Tennis, Golf at the nearby Club de Golf Javea or slightly further away the larger 18 hole course of "La Sella", Horse riding, Bowling and Karting. These are in addition to fishing and various watersports, with snorkeling being a favourite in this area.

Both Alicante and Valencia airports are about an hour's drive from Javea.

BOOKING AND RATES

Prices range from £450 to £1050 per week (pounds sterling).

The winter rate is negotiable and dependent on the length of stay, cleaning requirements and the desired arrangement for the payment utility bills. Please note that bookings are already being taken for the Summer season of 2005.

25% of the total amount will be payable on confirmation of booking. The balance is required at least 4 weeks before arrival and a refundable deposit for breakage will also be required at this time.

The price includes the services of a maid twice a week and laundry.
